I believe I've mentioned this before, and I apologise if this sounds like
nagging, but I would rather not have release candidates of the ALSA stuff in
the grimoire. The ALSA project releases new stable versions often enough, and
I can't see any good reasons for pushing RCs to our public branch. If you
want to be an ALSA tester please use a local grimoire.

Although the ALSA release candidates are usually quite mature, there _are_
bugs introduced in them every once in a while. I use one of my SMGL boxes for
audio work, and I don't enjoy taking that kind of risks. And although I know
how to use `sorcery hold`, I don't think that should be expected from me as a
user. The grimoire should _not_ contain release candidates, except for the
rare cases where a stable alternative does not exist.

This posting is meant not as criticism of your work with the ALSA spells,
which is undoubtedly of great value to us all. I just wish that you would
stick to stable versions from now on.
