Sorry but I'd rather piss off the ones that are doing unattended upgrades
on a choice-based distro than piss off the ones that expect us to do what
they tell us to do. Yeah this one was our bug but if someone lets the core
system update unattended and ignores everything it asks and warns then they
should expect to have missed even an intentional query like "foo conflicts
with shadow, dispel shadow?".

I obviously do not see this as a question. :-) We are not the
distribution of the ignorant.

I'm pretty sure there is a bug for this somewhere, it's at least been
discussed before...

I'm going to bed, feel free to do it yourself and update the integration
request. If one of the others approves and integrates it tonight I can
push stable in the morning.
