My reasoning is that the Audacity folks consider some of the audio
processing in the 1.3.x to still be very beta. In this case it can be
more then just building and running. The stable version still builds
and runs fine for me. My largest complaint about what you did was no bug
to see why the stable version doesn't build and the fact I had added the
devel version to the spell, so it was easily available to you without
having to update the stable version. With the devel version so easily
available, I don't see the gain of using a version of audio editing
software that the developers still consider to be beta.

There are many spells that have a devel or even alpha version available
but I was under the impression that we wanted to limit how much we
switch to devel versions when the stable is okay.
