Summary, after my question, from friend:

"The summary is that even though the protesters have the best intentions
they are just a tool used by large corporations to further their own
interests.
How you ask? The public outcry for action will likely allow trillions of
euros currently locked up in pension funds to be released to fund the next
industrial revolution (in an ill attempt to save the climate). An
investment that corporations are not willing or unable to make themselves
but they will be the one profitting from this."

Facebook post + link by Another person that trigged my question:

"I love how people like Vidner Ferkov Katerina (Slovenija),
Heiko Khoo (UK) and so many others are challenging the orchestrated efforts
to bail out the rich (fourth industrial revolution & global New Green
Deals) and privatize nature (New Deal for Nature) under the guise of green.

It takes courage to challenge mainstream narratives manufactured,
maintained and perpetuated by the non-profit industrial complex and media.
(Just watch a short video on the Ache experiment is you doubt that the
power of conformity is used as a weapon against us.) The interviews by
Heiko Khoo yesterday are interesting as they are revealing. I appreciate
the people being interviewed by Heiko for trying to answer the questions so
patiently.

Heiko Khoo:

"When was the last demonstration by trade unions, students, doctors etc.
that was immediately backed by some of the very biggest financial
institutions in the world? And who declare the issues to be vital and
requiring Trillions of investment! Trillions! These same people who have no
problem with bombing Iraq, Afghanistan etc."

"Wow! Two days into the "Extinction Rebellion" and Mark Carney governor of
the Bank of England and his mate Villeroy de Galhau, the governor of the
Banque de France, are convinced! This civil disobedience is manipulated by
the biggest capitalist interests in the world. Today Carney speaks of £15.3
trillion losses. Tomorrow he wants your support to plunder $90 trillion
from the world's pension funds for "profitable green investments" that will
not help the environment at all."

"Either the system i.e. capitalist profit seeking dominance of the economy
is the cause of the problem or it is not. If it is not then who cares about
ending capitalism? All we need to do is pressure Bill Gates, Bono, Megan
and Harry, and the heads of the banks to sort things out with our money."
"

Here in Portugal,
Im inviting the rebels for a permablitz, and rethink rebellion by learning
about permaculture systems.
