Agroforestry Net, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing
educational resources about agroforestry, trees, and sustainable
stewardship of land and water. Its mission is to promote sustainable,
diverse, and thriving agroecosystems, communities, and economies through
eduction and research. We are recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501
(c)(3) organization. Publications produced by Agroforestry Net, Inc. are
available to the public at agroforestry.org <http://www.agroforestry.org/>.
Our activities are supported by donations from individuals.
Hundreds have contributed material to this web site via submissions to The
Overstory <http://agroforestry.org/the-overstory> ejournal, contributions
to the Agroforestry Library

conversations since 1998.
Craig Elevitch, an educator in agroforestry and sustainable human
agroecosystems since 1991, directs Agroforestry Net. The organization’s
internationally recognized publications and workshops have guided thousands
in becoming more proficient in ecological food production, agroforestry,
and reforestation. Craig edits *The Overstory*

with thousands of subscribers in 185 countries. His books include
