Richard Perkins also has a great small farm manual, "Making Small Farms
Work."
http://www.ridgedalepermaculture.com/store/p22/MAKING_SMALL_FARMS_WORK__%E2%80%8B%28SHIPPING_OUTSIDE_SWEDEN%29.html

We reviewed it in the May issue of Permaculture Design, although we do not
carry it in our bookstore. To my understanding, you have to order it through
Richard's site. For someone starting a farm who wants to incorporate
permaculture design and site-appropriate techniques, it's a fairly
comprehensive operating manual.
