A mother and a business analyst that makes very good sense.

Robyn O'Brien (who the New York Times has called "food's Erin
Brockovich), was a successful Wall Street analyst more interested in
food as a business venture than as a substance required for good health,
until she was shaken awake by the dangerous allergic reaction of one of
her children to a "typical" breakfast.

Her mission to unearth the cause revealed more about the food industry
than she could stomach, and impelled her to share her findings with others.

The presence of novel proteins in food has increased greatly since the
mid 1990's, inciting a wave of severe allergic reactions and tumors that
can be linked to GMO foods with difficulty, since GMO foods are not
required to be labeled.

On the contrary, they have been Officially Considered "Substantially
Equivalent" WITHOUT a series of comprehensive, long term human trials.

What does that say about the quality of the oversight provided by the
governmental agencies responsible for the Environment and Public Health?

And could that lack of adequate oversight be linked to censorship on
governmentally funded forums?

Are these suitable topics for sanet, a forum dedicated to discussing
Sustainable Agriculture?

Douglas
