I looked at the list, and from my experience with raising some of these
breeds and working with others, I will offer these thoughts: Flemish Giants
shouldn’t be on the list. They are grisly and bony and big eaters without
producing quality meat. Californians, Chincillas, and New Zealanders are all
top meat producing rabbits, but they also often have nasty personalities.
Rexes can also be rough—but usually better. Satins were the meat breed of
choice at my house—not quite so crazy, beautiful fur to tan, and dressing out
well.
