i have been meditating on this for a while. basically i would like to have
a website that will collect and display data related to permaculture in a
way that makes the information accessible and useable.
indexing plants according to layer, temperature, soil conditions, use,
height, water usage, companion 'guilds', etc etc etc
making these indexes searchable to easily narrow down plants
generating mandalas based on location, soil type, desired plants to be
incorporated etc.
finding sources for seeds, cuttings etc.
developing seed mixes for pastures for intended herd size, type of animals,
etc
swale dimensions based on expected rainfall etc.
i'm sure there are tons of things i have not addressed, thus the need for
such a website! if this is ever going to happen, it will probably be
because of /r/Permaculture <http://www.reddit.com/r/Permaculture>.
