This recipe is given as a guideline. As any cook knows, a recipe has to be adapted to the ingredients available, the skills of the cook, the guests group composition and dynamics, and his own philosophy on food.

Again the best method you can use is the one adapted to the needs of your relationship with the land and to the availability of the components. However, seedballs users generally recommend the following:
INGREDIENTS
Seeds
The most important of all the ingredients.
For ecological restoration purposes, please contact me at anthony.delfau@gmail.com
For any other purposes: NEVER USE SEEDS OF EXOTIC SPECIES other than edible aromatic or medicinal plants in your edible and medicinal landscape (your garden).
You can mix the seeds if it makes sense ecologically (i.e. companion planting), try it !
The seeds should be dry and treated if needed.
Clay
Clay found naturally on the land, preferably red or brown.
Recommended alternative:
Commercial grade red powdered terracotta clay is the best one for multiple reasons going from its amazing plasticity to its iron oxide and manganese content.
The clay should be dry and sifted.
Soil
Topsoil found naturally on the land.
Recommended alternatives:
Worm castings is the best one for multiple reasons going from its plasticity to its nutrient content.
Organic homemade compost with fungi spores and bacteria.
Old termite mounds, ants nest waste, etc
The soil should be dry and sifted.
> NEVER USE POTTING MIX as it is dead soil (it is pasteurized).
> Do not use animal manure.
PROPORTIONS & METHOD
Proportions
One measure of seeds (more or less depending on the size of the seeds, three of soil, five of clay.
1, 3, 5
Method
1) Mix well soil and seeds in a bowl.
2) Incorporate clay and mix well.
3) Slowly add water to the mix, hand-working it thoroughly as you would do it for cookie dough.
4) Make a big ball of dough that you will hand-work so as to render it nice, smooth and plastic.
5) Take pinches of the big ball and roll small smooth and crack-free balls about the size of a marble. Humidify your hands if necessary throughout the process
6) Put the seedballs to dry in the shade.
8) Store preferably on one layer in a dry place or else in paper bags but always in a dry place.
9) Propagate preferably before the growing season, as a rate of about 10 seedballs per square meter for ecological restoration purposes.
It’s all about having fun!
