Hello SANET colleagues
I am working with other UVM colleagues to develop a survey of farmers
to determine their needs, interests and constraints around GAP food
safety certification*. Our goal is to use the info to design Extension
programming and possibly justify cost sharing for small farms.
I am hoping some SANET folks, especially farmers, would be willing to
look at and pilot our survey, (always a good idea for surveys), to
give us feedback and suggest improvements in wording, etc. We think
there will be three surveys, one for (i) those who completed GAP,as
well as (ii) veggie farmers and (iii) apple farmers who have not.
It is a short survey, should not take much time...
We will not use your responses as data, just as feedback to improve
the instrument. Let us know which of the three surveys best fits you.
*I know GAP is very controversial and unpopular with many, and I have
mixed feelings myself, so I hope no one flames me for bringing it up...
Please let me know (off-list is fine) if you are interested or with
any questions
Thanks for your time and consideration
David
