Camille,

I have used vetiver extensively for erosion control and water cleansing here in Texas. It is extremely hardy! It blooms in the cooler months and has attained an 8-10' height in a couple of years. The sides do need pruning as the lay down to start new plants. It does attract young snakes seeking protection, but we have had no negative incidents.

Hello,

I am going to be using vetiver for soil erosion control for a landscaping project here in Los Angeles.
Does anyone have any experience with it in Southern California?
What about for general landscaping applications?
Any notes or observations would be appreciated~!
Thanks,
