I chomped this book down recently as a quick break from the more hard-core
ecology stuff.  My wife went to a workshop/dinner that the author did here in
Spokane a couple months back, where she picked up the book....before losing
it to me.  They talked about methods for raising, killing, cleaning, and
cooking rabbit, and had several dishes of rabbit prepared by the chef at
Sante' downtown.  Cool chick.  Good story.

Farm City by Novella Carpenter. I am reading, it , quite humorous realistic
view of trying to grow stuff, in the midst of city rules, regs and gritty
neighborhood life.
I acquired it free from my friends who moved away and thought, with it's
plain wrapper,  it was a back to the basics tome , educational book and
avoided it till the cold spell hit, but no  it is done as a memoir, a
person's story and it makes the learning process more fun for me. She is a
hoot!

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself as I'm new to this place. My
name is Travis Philp, I'm from Ontario Canada, and I just purchased a farm in
November so I'm itching to get planting in the spring. I hope I'm in line
with putting it out there that I'd love to hear any advice in the vein of '
If I could do one thing over again...'

Travis
