I recently came across some information about a person in Missouri who is a
Keyline designer but alas have misplaced said information.  I would like to
know if anyone on this list knows of any or all practitioners of Keyline
Design who live or do business out of Missouri.   Any leads would be
appreciated.

Thanks.

I wrote earlier
about how the ownership paradigm started with agriculture, and how the concept
of intellectual property is less than 200 years old. Is it possible that what
we're
seeing here is "Peak Ownership?"

Thanks to Scott Pittman's post, we learned how Mollison has
used the proceeds from his book to finance his travels to many third world
countries. That reminds me of a Mollison principle that it's okay to use
oil-based resources to help build infrastructure that will return energy on
its
investment. Whereas some people oppose the use of bulldozers, for example, on
ethical
grounds.

The people on this thread who believe that liberated
information benefits everyone are perhaps visionary. I'd wager most of them
are
younger generationally.

Other people on this thread believe that Mollison's rights
should be protected; they support him in maximizing use of the resources
available to him, for the greater good, in this age of Peak Ownership.

If there weren't some validity to both points of view, this thread wouldn't
have lasted as long as it has.My own view? "Yes."

If nothing else, this huge debate has highly recommended the reading of Bill
Mollison's Permaculture: A Designer's Manual.

May I ask what other books people would recommend?

And where would Bill Mollison's other titles fit into the picture?

His 1991 Introduction to Permaculture, for instance, Permaculture: a
practical guide for a sustainable future, or Permaculture two: practical
design for town and country in permanent agriculture. And then, there's
something called Smart Permaculture design.

Any and all annotations are welcome as well as the (possible) introduction of
other authors and oeuvres as well as links, of course, and where they might
fit into this lexicon of permaculture.

Yours in diversity,
Frances
