Thanks Wes for checking in. You have a $100 scholarship from Love's Gardens
to take the course and maybe you can talk more with Larry Santoya about
being an assistant. Even if you were allowed to just sit in on the classes
like you did with Joe Morgan's solar class at Cabrillo, would be quite
helpful.
Another option is to Google permaculture classes in Tennessee and offer your
grandparents place as a site for a certification program this summer or
fall. Permaculture teachers are always looking for sites.
Join the following permaculture sites and then pose the question:
permaculture-request@openpermaculture.org
permaculture@lists.ibiblio.org
See you next week,
Golden

hey golden,
this place is incredible man and absolutely perfect for permaculture! I'm
going to take some pictures tomorrow and there are apple trees and
blueberries bushes that need some serious pruning. i feel like we could be
doing our same work here, i guess permaculture fits in everywhere. anyways
about permaculture, i sent an email to Larry Santoyo about the SC course and
asked about scholarship opportunities. i told him i worked for you and that
you're the one who told me all about permaculture in the first place, I said
I've met Ken too. so hopefully i can get into this class because i cannot
wait to learn this stuff, and you were right when you said i'd be so jazzed
after this class because i'm already jazzed now before it. Man if i knew how
to do a site analysis i'd be doing it for this place thats for sure. i hope
i can get in without the $950 price tag though so maybe you guys can put in
the good word for me, haha. anyways the book is great and i'll take some
pictures! Thanks.
all is good, and Happy Inauguration Day! Wahoo! Go Obama.
talk to you soon
