Excellent content, beautifully made. Interesting to see how long ago the
arguments about appealing to people's emotions or logic were settled in
propaganda and pr circles. I really liked the filmmaker Adam Curtis's other
series The Power of Nightmares from a few years ago too. It explores
parallel histories of the neocons and radical islam and the politics of
fear.

He doesn't have a particularly strong 'cultural materialism' understanding
that permaculturists are often good at, (ie. understanding the importance of
energy and resources in defining societies). Curtis is excited primarily
about how radical ideas and ideals proliferate (and often turn bad). Very
compelling film making and insights.
