Golden,
You have a point. I forgot that labeling somebody as an "ubertroll" could be
considered name-calling. In my mind, I was just being descriptive. But you
are right that labeling a person or a people is counterproductive and
ultimately harmful. I apologize for my name-calling.
I have to add that I find nothing wrong with shamanism. I have been very
interested in shamanism and the healing arts of indigenous societies since I
was quite young. I have qualms about people who label themselves as a
"shaman" or "healer" or "priest" or "teacher" because I think that if you
are one of those things, you have no need to label yourself as such, and in
fact doing so almost convinces me that you are not what you say. I am very
skeptical by nature.
On the other hand, I think shamanism is an interesting topic in regards to
permaculture, because permaculture practices are nothing if not refined
indigenous cultural practices, and thus tied to ancient ways of being and
healing.

"Andrew.
I have a judgment that calling people names is harmful. (referring to your
first paragraph).
Being kind to each other is important in all human relations.
