Happy day, here is just the magic bullet we've been praying for! Now we can blissfully continue our life-as-we-know-it!
1,000 times more efficient? 500 year lifespan?
Sure, efficiency lost to overcoming friction can be substantial, but c'mon. And where the heck does the 500 year lifespan figure come from?
Sounds like hot air, as it seems a lot of industrial scale wind development ends up being (but don't get me wrong, capturing wind energy is a part of my own
small-scale homestead design). Yeah, it would be wonderful if these maglev turbines live up to the hype, but the information on those two links read like
an overblown corporate press release looking to grab some VC cash.
