Here's the metric version of the Dervaes PathToFreedom food production and
the extrapolation to a quarter acre 0.1 hectare) house lot with 2/5 of the
lot used for building or nongardening uses and 3/5 for food projection.

Current Dervaes house lot = approx .08 hectare
Current Dervaes growing area = approx .04 hectare or 405 square meters
A typical house lot of 1/4 acre is approx .1 hectare
If 3/5 of the house lot were gardened that would be .06 hectare.
The Dervaes currently grow 2722 kilograms of food per year.
If 3/5 of the house lot or .06 hectare were gardened and produced at the same
rate, that would be 4082 kilograms of food per year.

If the family had 4 members, that would be 1020 kilograms of food per person
a year or 2.8 kilograms of food per day.
