Hi folks, I have been asked to pass this message on to interested folks,
feel free to pass it on yourselves to anyone you think might be interested!
....

"Eco-art? Eco-Community? Community art? We’re looking for committed,
practical people to buy into - or buy us out of - a lovely woodland
small-holding and art studio near Llangennech. Alternatively, form a
co-operative to find funding? Graig Fach and the Green Art Studio overlook
seven acres of steep, wooded valley above the Morlais river (S.Wales).
Smallholding includes organic veg, polytunnel, orchard, hens, bees (and,
until recently, goats). Three/four bedroom house plus an extension that can
be rented separately as one/two bedroom maisonette. There’s also a wooden
cabin and camping space for summer visitors. Location: between Swansea and
Llanelli, three miles from M4 junction 48 and immediately north of the
community-owned Troserch Woods (OS ref 546043). Total value about £350k. "

There are some pics of the property here

I went out there yesterday and even in the rain it was stunning! Its on a
slope which unfortunately is not South facing but the growing areas get
plenty of light and are sheltered from wind. The ground slopes down to the
river you can see in the first picture and a lot of the steeper slope has
been managed for natural woodland with the aid of the BTCV and Woodland
Trust. The woodland area is well established but not yet fully mature. There
is a ban on further large scale construction on the property in order to
prevent developers from building up the site and it is surrounded by similar
areas of community owned protected land. Solar panels already in place on
main house and a watering system to collect roof runoff and pipe it to
growing areas.
The art studio/teaching area has elec. and running water and is on two
levels with plenty of room to be a good school area or to be offices etc.
The wooden cabin was previously used to house WWOOFERS (voluntary organic
farm hands) and is next to a large open sided shed/barn which would be ideal
for equipment storage, keeping animals or hosting outdoor
classes/gatherings. As Ada teaches Eco-art there are also handy nearby
supplies of weaving willow!

They are very flexible and will consider dealing with the house, art studio
and small holding separatly and are happy to listen to any ideas for renting
or developing new projects.

Anyone who is interested let me know at eco@gaianlife.co.uk and I'll pass
the message on to Ada & Greg.
The reason they want to move on btw is that they are retiring and don't feel
they can keep up with the physical side any more.
Cheers
Helen
