Folks -
The VABF conference is excellent, so if you're within
3-5 hours it can be worth the trip.
Often the biggest thing you get from these bio-regional,
sustainable ag, and organic ag conferences is the opportunity
to meet kindred spirits and fellow land managers, as well as
to share stories that range from living on the land to raising
little kids and nanny goats, onwards to organic farming methods
including tools and equipment and composting and keeping
chickens on pasture.

The VABF newsletter is worthwhile, so are the VABF
Information Sheets and Research Reports, some of these
feature the research efforts of Dr. Mark Schonbeck who's
work in organic agriculture goes back to the days of The
New Alchemy Institute onwards to VABF.
Naturally, PASA is another opportunity to meet kindred
spirits and share technology. Some co-workers from ATTRA
have just opened an office in Pennsylvania and they will likely
attend.
Best wishes,
