Hi there, I can't help you with Europe...however here in the Northwoods of
Wisconsin, we've seen the yellow Iris out grow the Blue Flag. Years ago the
yellow was listed along with the Blue Flag as a native and loads of folks
planted them along side their existing Blues. In the past two years, since I
have been specifically selling primarily native plants at my garden center,
I'm hearing form lots of folks that their Blues are gone and the yellows are
rampant.
Now I'm asking folks to not plant yellows on their shore lines...contain them
in their other perennial gardens. I'm selling only Blues for shoreline
restoration projects. They are slow growing and spreading...but when
established...so beautiful. love and peace..lynnann
