Nick Fenton's film documenting the building of a compost toilet in the garden of former CRASS HQ Dial House is now available in DVD format;

/For some 40 years the 16th Century farm cottage that is
Dial House has been the base of operations for a number
of cultural, artistic and political projects. These range
from avant-garde jazz events to helping to found the free
festival movement, from hosting Permaculture courses to
setting up the Anarchist punk band CRASS.

‘Lifting the Lid of the Compost Toilet’, made by award
winning film maker Nick Fenton, documents the building
of a compost toilet at Dial House over two very hot days
in July 2002. As well as providing a glimpse of the Dial
House ethos at work, this is also a practical guide that can
enable and empower anybody to turn the ‘problem’ of
human waste into a valuable source of fertility.

NB. Includes strong language, incidental nudity and
dubious puns.

Features Penny Rimbaud, Gee Vaucher, Graham Burnett and Ron Bates
