Has anyone had any experience with (or opinions of) a range of French Cast
Iron stoves (Space Heaters) known as CHEMINEES PHILIPPE. See:-
1. http://www.chemineesphilippe.com/ or

2. http://www.chemphilaust.com.au/

These Fire Place "inserts" are a bit of a hybrid in that they:-
(A) Can operate as an open fire. i.e. with large glass door open and
pushed up into the "chimney"
(B) Can operate reasonably efficiently like a normal "slow combustion"
stove under controlled air intake with the door closed. (Output = 20-40 kW/H)
(C) They have the capacity to store heat in thermal mass if installed as
recommended within a masonry surround.
