As America is subject to the whims of the syndicate- see owners of Federal
Reserve Bank and American stock exchange the gold price- so Australia is
subject to America
John Schinnerer <john@eco-living.net> wrote: Aloha,
Can some of you down under give us an idea of what's up with this:
"With a US government official consulting at her side, the Australian
negotiator insisted on deleting reference to the "precautionary
approach" and used this as a bargaining chip to win controversial
wording for a "case-by-case risk assessment" of Terminator. "The new
reference to case-by-case assessment is shocking and extremely
damaging because it suggests that national regulatory review of
Terminator is possible - it undermines the CBD moratorium, opening
the door to Terminator approval," warns Hope Shand of ETC Group."
Elsewhere in the article New Zealand gov't is also said to be supporting
ending the ban.
Is this actually based on popular opinion in your countries, or just the
usual symbiosis of industry-run government doing its thing?
thanks,
John S.
