I'm registered Green, and I find quite a few interesting ironies in this
court decision.

First, it appears to legalize the socialistic practise of taking private
property, but in the name of capitalism.

Second, that the taking of private property for some perceived "public good"
is viewed by environmentalists and Greens as good when the "public good" is a
park or wildlife preserve, but bad when the "public good" is a shopping mall
or office complex.

Personally and politically, I think it's a horrible decision, the
ramifications of which won't be fully realized for years and will eventually
serve as a wakeup call to some folks who currently support it. But in the
interim, the situational ethics fascinate me.
