STONE DUST UPDATE
Local monument companies are a good place to look as a source for free
rock dust. After all, they polish an awful lot of granite. Sure enough, the first place checked
said they would give away granite dust free. That's a pretty good
deal, since Nitron sells its rock dust for around $1/pound.

Granite is supposed to be one of the best sources of micronutrients; Stone Mountain area in Georgia,
Lithonia, Ga. has a compsny supplying a "hybrid" granite dust - years (decades) ago they sold this product mixed with chicken manure.
Monument companies would be a good source though they would probably not have tons to give away.
At a dollar a pound, a large tandem dump truck load of Nitron's rock powder would cost $30,000.
