Love this topic.
I use AZOMITE which is an anocronym for (the) A to Z of Minerals Including Trace Elements .... It's all over my garden beds, under every tree and always added to my compost.... I used to drink the stuff and since it is essentially a clay, make facial masks out of it as well ( also to treat bee stings et.al) - I no longer drink it having understood that it is barely assimilable in its dust form and that it is the actions of the soil and plants that render it "colloidal" ( and I believe that it goes to an even finer state but I forget what that's called...)
As an aside, I would highly recommend listening to a tape which is available free called "Dead doctors don't lie" by a man named Wallach - He himself is somewhat of a buffoon and out to make a buck, but he sure has done his homework and he tells a fascinating story, echoed in "Secrets of the Soil" ( which has a great chapter on rock dusts and Azomite)) about how the longest lived people in the world are those living high in the mountains whose drinking water is so filled with glacial runoff that it is chalky white.... And yes, ACRES regularly runs brilliant articles on minerals and everyone in PC should be subscribed to that wondrous publication...
Now, if I can just get the investors of the eco golf course I'm working on to buy in to spreading TONS of the stuff over the whole area, oh my would that pay dividends in the long run.... Unfortunately, tough tough sell...

Right, Larry, I've used a number of sources for dusts and fines including a quarry in the northwest that produced a super-fine material that worked very fast. Even the coarser material is effective but takes a little longer for results to show up. I urge those interested to ask for details from each particular regional quarry as they are required to have their material tested for heavy metals and should be able to provide a detailed assay of mineral components.

Pure environmentally clean finely ground rock dusts can be had free for the hauling from nearly all rock quarrries - this material is nearly as valuable as rock phosphate and greensand and adds significantly to the flavor and nutritional quality of crops.
