ADVANCED PERMACULTURE IMPLEMENTATION COURSE on the BIG ISLAND of HAWAI’I
Join us for this 17-day hands-on skills intensive

January 27th - February 12th, 2005

Where: Kalapana Homesteads, The Island of Hawai’i

Instructors: Douglas Bullock, Sam Bullock,
Adam Rawson, & Lonnie Gamble

Prerequisite: Completion of 72-hour Certificated Permaculture Design
Course

Focusing on: Energy, Water, Shelter, Plants & Food


In this course students will learn practical skills for developing
permaculture sites and gain experience under the guidance of experienced
designers, technicians, and craftspeople.


Projects will include:
Water: pond construction, plumbing and irrigation systems,
potable water, water tanks
Energy: solar and wind electric system installation and upgrading
Building: wood, bamboo, stone, earth bag, thatch, and use of
earthmoving machines in land development
Metal: Welding and metal fabrication projects
Plant propagation: grafting, composting, seed saving, tray
greens, guild design

Academic credits are often available to undergraduate and graduate
students attending a Permaculture Design Course.
Our staff can assist you with obtaining university credits.

Design Course Price: $1,500 (does not include airfare). Includes
delicious organic vegetarian meals prepared by chefs Yuriko and Maria
Bullock, made from a mix of traditional Hawaiian cuisine and farm-fresh
