This introductory certification course explores the art and science of
sustainable design. It examines the many ways in which we can create
regenerative resources and systems in all aspects of our lives: land, food,
water, shelter, energy, livelihood, communities, economics, politics, education,
and intra- and inter-personal dynamics.
The course emphasizes techniques and strategies of assessment and
planning for your life, home, and society. Students will do design work for
Kalani Honua Oceanside Retreat, a stunning 100-acre retreat center and community
