The New Farm Locator(tm) is an easy-to-use online tool that will allow you to build a personalized web-page for your farm in minutes. Tell the world as little or as much as you want about why you farm, how you farm, and what's for sale.
New Farm readers will be able to search for your farm by product, marketing method, state, county and more. What does it do for you? It puts your farm on the map for families, chefs, food brokers, other farmers and farmers market operators ... anyone who wants to be your customer. You can return to update information as often as you want, keeping customers next door or across the country clued in as to when the berries are ripe or the goat cheese is ready.
Try it NOW <http://www.newfarm.org/farmlocator/index.php>. The more farms we have in the locator, the more useful it will be. The New Farm Locator(tm) is available at no charge, as is the growing body of stories, photos and information tools for the whole site.
The Farm Locator is a featured tool in a whole new section at www.newfarm.org -- the Mid-Atlantic Marketing Page. "MAMP" is a prototype for what we hope will eventually be a collection of regional marketing pages designed to support farmers in a given region with success stories, regional resource guides, how-to articles, focused regional discussion forums and more. Check out the marketing page (intro featured on our hope page), including our calendar of events in the region listing field days, workshops, farm tours, conferences and more.
We're enjoying an actual sunny day in SE PA. Yippee!
