For those of you who are excited about Gaviotas, this is a rare opportunity. Paolo was in Santa Fe last year and his presentations were great and in the spirit of Permaculture.

Dear Friends of Gaviotas,

(This contact list has been assembled from mail I have received.)
(Please let me know if you want to be taken off / unsubscribe.)

We are arranging an inspirational retreat with Gaviotas founder Paolo Lugari
at Sunrise Ranch in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies for October 3-5,
2003. Registration will open on April 14. Space is limited.

During this special weekend gathering with Paolo, we will explore the magic
that sustains the well of imagination, creativity and innovation in this
remarkable village in Colombia.

It would help us a lot if you posted this link on any lists or sites that
you may have access to.

Please forward this invitation to others!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
For 30 years, Gaviotas has been an oasis of peace in a country ravaged by
violence. Inventors, artists, peasants and former street kids have joined
with the Guahibo people in Colombia's barren savannah and accomplished the
extraordinary. They have:

- achieved energy self-sufficiency
- established zero-emissions industries
- created a hospital and medicinal plant research center
- reforested 36,000 acres and reintroduced biodiversity
- governed themselves with remarkable equanimity.

How did they defy the limits of the possible, and how can we do the same?
Come join us in exploring a path of hope.
