Greetings-
Last Year, I put together an exhibit of WW I Liberty Gardens and WWII
Victory Gardens for the Library of Congress.
In all the gardens produced up to 40% of all food products that were
consumed by civilian American during World War II. There were Victory
Gardens in every conceivable location such as farms, homes, schools,
suburban plots, and city plots. There was an estimated 20 million plots
in the U.S by 1943, which far exceed the goal of 5 million. Other
countries like England also had Victory Gardens during the War.

I am inquiring about digitizing some of the Victory Garden pamphlets
and guides for the American Memory web page... will keep y'all posted.
