Bi-carb Soda is a great general kitchen cleaner for surfaces, pots etc.
Cheap white vinegar is also quite effective. If you have a wood stove
sift the fine ash - its the best cleaner for pots and pans. Plain natural
soap can be used instead of detergents for washing up.
I make a tooth powder with 4 parts Bi-carb soda, 1 part sea salt and 2
parts finely ground dry sage - you can also mix in a few drops of
peppermint oil for the flavour & breath freshener. The best face cleaner
is a scrub of oat meal - you can add a little almond meal and a few drops
of essential oils according to skin type (lemon- oily skin, rose - dry
skin)
