Hi, please fill me in on the difference between hay and straw. I have been
using hay in copious amounts as mulch, and as a way to create beds over a
year. I have lots of hay, but no straw. Is it that the hay has seeds, and
insects? Is the straw less likely to decompose? In Ohio with 48" of rain per
year, sometimes much more.
