Hi to all on the permaculture list,
I just thought that I would share with you some of the work that I have
done on this very topic.
I have completed a critique of the Penan Permaculture project which I
presented at a conference last year in China on Biodiversity and
Indigenous Knowledge.
I have been working on putting together a general review of permaculture
programs conducted in Vietnam and Cambodia by Rosemary Morrow over the
last decade (this project has been on hold for the last year but I will be
picking it up in June)
I have been involved in the past with the ACFs program of permaculture
development aid, in particular the Sri Lanka program, but I have an
awareness of the Cuba program and many other permaculture projects.
I am currently undertaking a Masters in Agriculture and Rural development
at Uni of Western Sydney Hawkesbury and endeavour to use this course to
facilitate my curiosity about the actual value of permaculture to
communities and individuals in difficult contexts.
I whole heartedly agree with the sentiments of this thread and would be
happy to talk further at any time.
