Bingara
The small town of Bingara in the north west of NSW, Australia planted a
crop of orange trees as street trees - the trees were planted as a cash
crop to raise funds to keep their small local hospital going when it was
threatened with closure due to reductions in government health funding.
The residents protect the trees & crop and the harvest is a community
event.
Also try to track down a web site for Village Homes, Davis City,
California
