in my understanding keylines mark "the middle" of a slope, where the convex
and the concave slope meet. or in other words, if you are exactly on the
keyline, everything above you is the hill, or the hilltop that is getting
increasingly flatter, and everything below you the valley and the further
down you go the less slope there is. of course this is an
idealisation/abstration of landscape, so you have to look for the grande
pattern and not for the little humps and bumps on the slope.
frank, your farm sure looks attractive, and according to a good
astrocartograph it is exacly in my personal "ideal-zone".... so whenever i
happen to be in the states next time i plan on dropping by. just a warning
;o)
