Aloha,
I suggest folks who will be formally teaching anything (and especially
eco-design stuff) to children read the section "What every schoolboy should
know," from "Mind and Nature - a necessary unity" by Gregory Bateson.
Simply encouraging (and trusting) kids to make their own observations and
draw their own conclusions, individually and collectively, may be a rich
possibility for all concerned.
