Subject: Farmer-in-residence concept

Dear Sanet,

A community outside Santa Fe is working to revitalize agriculture
in their valley. One interesting idea is to use the "artist-in-residence"
model, but for a farmer. The community would provide housing and a
stipend. In exchange, the farmer would work with the community and youth
to provide information, consult with area growers, host workshops, etc.

Does anybody know of anything like this in other communities? Has
it been successful? How was it structured, etc?

Thanks for any information!
