http://www.livingtechnologies.com/ These folks aren't much for educating on
how they do what they do, as they're making their living off of doing it,
but I'm very interested in what they're doing! They design "living machines"
to process waste, among other things. Their systems are generally described
in the book "From Eco-Cities to Living Machines", Todd, 1994, and I seem to
remember something in there about their "machines" being able to remove
heavy metals and other real nasties from sewage. I'll have to find my copy
of it again.
