Dear friends at the list:
Brazil is just at the point of voting whether it will permit
transgenetic (Monsanto herbicide-resistant) soybeans to be planted
here. I would most appreciate any information you might have access to
about recent problems with transgenetic crops ( susceptability to
diseases, negative effects on local predators, genetic escape into wild
relatives, etc.)
