Nice post. A refinement would be to use a solar oven to boil the water.
Mostly, you can wait for a sunny day to control weeds. (When you can't, then
of course the camp stove, etc., makes sense.) In Florida, permaculturists
tend to set up outdoor kitchens which may also be wood fired. We like to use
boiling water also on fire ant nests.
