Aloha,

Occidental Arts & Ecology Center, a small intentional community in Sonoma
county, CA, offering art, permaculture, natural building and related courses
and workshops, is having their fall fundraising dinner September 12th. It
is entitled "Tastes of Biodiversity" and will showcase diverse, rare,
obscure and not so obscure modern and ancient food crops, most of which will
be harvested from the Center's own Biointensive and Permaculture gardens.
There will also be local wines, cheeses, coffees, etc. The dinner is a
benefit and the cost is $100 per person. Dinner starts at 6:00, but diners
can come as early as 5:00 to enjoy the gardens, wine and hors d'oeuvres (the
gardens are gorgeous!)

On September 20th they are holding a Silent Auction and Open Studio
featuring works by local artists. Bidding will be 4:00 to 5:00, but come as
early as 2:00 to view the artwork, stroll through the gardens and have a bit
of wine. There is no admission charge.
