Hollyhocks, belladonna, asparagus, hops, native ginger, chicory, dandelions, wormseed, black cohosh, basil, poppies, horseradish and pennyroyal are among the plants once grown by the Shakers for the pharmaceutical industry and for home remedies. ![]() ![]()
