To show what can be done with a wiki I've now got a wiki with the pfaf database in it at
http://www.pfaf.org/wiki/index.php

I've added some extensions to media wiki to make it easier to use more semantic style elements

A typical page is
http://www.pfaf.org/wiki/index.php/Cichorium_intybus

Would you be willing to install MediaWiki in
http://www.ibiblio.org/permaculture?

I have been planning to install a Wiki of some kind there and lately decided
to use MediaWiki. I was also planning to install a Wordpress blog.

Instead of doing this in /permaculture I will do it in /ecolandtech instead
so I can use it for my biological farming interests and my own market farm.

All the discussion about the value of using MediaWiki if it is carefully
structured convinces me that this platform is one we should use.

If the Db people create a database could you help integrate it with our
MediaWiki
as you have done with your experimental PFAF wiki?

Recent posts from people in this list put wikis in a whole new light.

Is it possible to integrate a blog with a wiki; having it display rss feeds
from other blogs
and information ssources with rss feeds opens up exciting possibilities.
Picasaweb galleries can have rss feeds.

This project is going to be exciting to say the least.
