I have one queen who is very naughty. She has a very poor brood pattern,
little or no honey and very weak pollen in the hive. This is a brand new
wooden hive with brand new foundation and brand new bees. The queen went in
on Feb 2nd.
If I should pinch, when is the best time? I recall Randall saying to pinch
early, but there must be a "best" time of day/brood Cycle.
Or maybe I could add some drawn out wax to give her some quick room to get
started with a bunch of eggs so the the brood is built up and then pinch her?
Thoughts?
