Diagnosis via e-mail description is usually wrong, so I do recommend that you call Will Hicks or Don Hopkins and ask for a look-see. If the cause of the death was in fact something like pesticide poisoning, the honey and comb should be perfectly fine for you and the next bees. Things that cause massive, instantaneous bee death don't have time to be stored as honey or be incorporated into the wax. Will & Don can also advise on this issue.
