Sounds to me that everything is in order, although I am concerned about "crumpled wings". Crumpled wings make me think deformed wing virus, the calling card of varroa mites. I might suggest some mite monitoring including a sugar shake, sticky board monitoring, or drone brood sampling to see where you are mite wise. Mite populations should be at their lowest levels at this time but if the population is a little high right now, it can get out of hand pretty quick down the road. NCSU has a reasonable publication on mites, although perhaps a wee bit out of date. It's a good starting point and required reading for anyone interested in maintaining a hive long term. www.cals.ncsu.edu/entomology/apiculture/pdfs/2.03%20copy.pdf In my opinion, varroa mites are the number 1 problem that beekeepers face as they manage their hives. Monitoring and managing the mite population is job #1. If the crumpled wings you refer to resemble the 2 bees in the bottom right of this photo, I would invite a bee inspector to come assess the situation and offer advice.
