I wouldn't call it a crazy late frost; at any rate, not around here.

Traditional frost-free date in this area isn't for another two weeks. Things have been warming up, so now it sometimes doesn't frost in May; but I certainly wouldn't count on it not doing so.

Prediction for here right now is a low the first night of 32ºF and the second of 30º, and my particular spot often runs a little warmer. Most fruit bloom is generally hardy to 28º, and after the almost total loss of bloom last year in what was genuinely strange weather I've had huge amounts of bloom. I doubt I'll do anything much about it except cover up the greenhouse (full of vegetable transplants); though I had better check the state of strawberry bloom, if there's much of it yet I might want to cover those. And I definitely want to pick out the asparagus; though that's off topic as not fruit.
